DOROTHY ANN (LEESE) WARNER, 89, of Sandusky, went to be with her Lord & Savior on July 09, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Dorothy was born on January 01, 1934 in Port Hope, MI to Harold & Gertrude (Champagne) Leese. After graduation from Port Hope High School she always worked. Was a bookkeeper at Bad Axe Grain Co., Shell Oil Co., Owen-Corning Fiberglass, NAPA, Leese Ford Tractor & their Dairy Farm, a Custer Township Clerk (6 years), Census worker, Thumb Dance club treasurer and manager (8 years), ladies activities at church, avid gardener, hospice volunteer, loved playing euchre & polka dancing. She was locally known as the “Rug Bug Stop” weaving custom rag rugs on her looms & winning awards at art shows. She also enjoyed taking her spinning wheel to the Octagon Barn to demonstrate spinning yarn. Dorothy touched many lives by her generosity & passion for life along with her deep Christian faith.

Dorothy was a dedicated mom to Linda (Stan) Grabitz, Dennis (Janice) Moore, Jo (Tim) Laming and Betty (Mark) Young. She is survived by her grandchildren, Christopher (Kristina) Moore, Matthew (Lynsey) Moore, Brendan Moore, Ashley (Mark) Foster, Kysha (Chris) Warczinsky and Todd (Melissa) Laming; great-grandchildren, Michael, Nick & Noah Moore, Keegan, Colter & Farrah Warczinsky, Landen & Braelyn Laming; step-daughters, Lori (John) Zelke & Tammy (Douglas) Ovart; step-grandchildren, Branden, Chloe & Zoe. Dorothy is also survived by her three brothers, Herb (Betty) Leese, Arnie (Judy) Leese & Ben (Joanne) Leese, along with many nieces and nephews. Also, her beloved Miniature Schnauzer, “Happy”. Dorothy was predeceased by her two sons, James R. & Jerald E. Moore; siblings, Margaret Schulte, Mildred Pease, Albert Leese, Wilbert Leese, Robert Leese, Melvin Leese, Caroline Ehnis, Kenneth Leese and Alvin Leese. She was also predeceased by husbands, Earl Warner and Willian Echlin.

A Celebration of Life was held on July 29 at Hackers Funeral Home with a service held by Pastor Penny Nunn. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Sandusky.
